A handyman or multi-trade worker is straight forward enough to budget for.
They are not as expensive as skilled workers such as plumbers, electricians or tilers but they are not far off.
A handyman can come in an do a little bit of plumbing and a little bit of plastering and so they will provide a lot of value for you in one go. So they are going to look for decent payment.
Some guides will say allow £250 per day etc but most handymen won’t work on a day basis. They will instead give a price for doing the job. This makes sense for everyone as the last thing you want is a worker onsite who is being paid per day and therefore is incentivised to just go slow.
